The next generation of conservationists is in a Free State classroom right now.
A child who has stood on the impact ring and been told what happened here does not forget it. Bringing schools onto the land — to the rock, the river, the grassland — does more in one morning than a term of posters ever will.
The same is true the other way around. Landowners brought into the science of what is happening on their own ground — the water results, the fire regime, what the alien clearing is actually for — make better decisions than landowners who were only ever told what not to do.
Clean-ups, walks, school days and talks all belong to this front. It is the slowest-returning work on the list, and the one that decides whether any of the rest of it still matters in thirty years.
This front needs backing.
