Our work
The river
Everything downstream of here drinks this river.
Raw sewage is entering the Vaal. That is not a claim that needs softening — it is what the water shows, and it is what the smell tells you on the bad days. The river runs through the dome and out the other side, past farms, past towns, past everything and everyone that depends on it.
Outrage on its own changes nothing here. Numbers do. So the trust samples the water, logs each result with the date and the point it was taken from, and builds a record that cannot be waved away as a bad week or a one-off. Then that record goes to the people who have the power to act on it, and keeps going back until something moves.
The river is also habitat. Fish, birds, otters, and every animal on the land that comes down to drink — they do not get to choose a different water source.
This front needs backing.
Every one of these eight runs on donations, volunteers and landowners who say yes. If this is the part of the dome you care about, back it.
